Due At 12’O-Clock

Modern Jazz – Big Band Style

This piece has the versatility of being used with the full orchestration included and also with the standard 18 piece big band.

Jazz is a growing and still evolving genre and today jazz composers look for different sounds and colors that we can use in combination with the improvisatory nature of the style.

This is what Due at 12 O Clock is about. It pushes the boundaries of instrumentation while still keeping the gliding of sweet harmonies and rhythm together.

Additional instruments are essential to the overall effect of the piece, but not missed if they are not present.

This piece would be great for a wind ensemble that would like to combine the whole music program and include the jazz ensemble, soloists, and improvisation.
